About

A quiet place for the Gita.

ParBrahma is an app for hearing, reading and returning to the Bhagavad Gita. The first collection is the complete Gita: 18 chapters, 701 verses, recited in Sanskrit with a spoken Hindi or English translation.

Why we are building it

Many people know a verse or two of the Gita but have never heard it all the way through. It is long, it is in Sanskrit, and the usual ways of reaching it are a heavy book or an app full of adverts.

ParBrahma tries to remove those obstacles. You can listen to a whole chapter on a walk, read a single verse before sleep, or ask a question and see which verses speak to it. The Sanskrit is always there; the translation is in the language you think in.

What we will and won't do

  • We keep the Bhagavad Gita as it is. Chapter names, verse numbers and the words of Krishna and Arjuna are not renamed or rewritten.
  • We do not show advertising, and we do not run analytics or advertising SDKs.
  • We do not sell or share your personal data.
  • We say plainly which parts are AI-generated. Conversation with Krishna is AI; the verses, recitations and translations are not.
  • The content is suitable for all ages.

The name

Para means supreme or beyond; Brahma, from Brahman, is the ultimate reality in the Upanishads and the Gita. ParBrahma is the name of the app. The scripture is, and remains, the Bhagavad Gita.

The Gita is the first collection. The same care may later be given to other texts of the tradition.

Who we are

ParBrahma is published by Manish Soni, a sole proprietor based in Gurugram, India.
